Minifigs in the PBR are set to go to the polls on 1st September. Despite the Emperor’s backing, Bob the King is currently last in the latest straw-poll that puts Leslie Anne and Deeds leading.

Emperor David has spoken candidly of the three election hopefuls in the PBR presidential election race in an interview with the Castle Clan and has confirmed his backing for Bob the King.

The exclusive interview was given during his trip to the Castleland province where he met with local rulers and was briefed on issues affecting the region.

“It is my personal assessment that a regime lead by Bob the King would best suit the PBR in what are undoubtedly uncertain times ahead for the country”, said the Emperor before elaborating.

“Bob, I like to call him Bob, has significant experience dealing with major challenges and unlike the other two candidates he is a proven figure, tried and tested. His leadership during the forced migration and renewal of the PBR after Hurricane Brock is a point of annotation and indeed reminiscent of my own efforts in the 1980s.”

Bob the King’s rivals in the election race, acting president Deeds and Leslie Anne both came in for some strong criticism from the Emperor. Deeds, a known Fleshy-lover, is not Emperor David’s type of minifig.

“From what I have read Deeds is an upstart, involved in politics solely for personal gain. His marriage is one of convenience designed to help hoover up the Fleshy vote in any election and this is disturbing. Mind you, the fact that Fleshies have the vote is more disturbing.”

“Being a femfig, one has to ask whether it is too soon to have Leslie Anne lead the PBR. Could we expect a proliferation of purple and pink bricks should she take office? PBR figs should ask themselves is it worth the risk?”

He ended by rejecting some Legoland figs views that the PBR has been disrespectful to him by not sending a representative minifig to the Empire. “All countries are at different stages in their development and all have differing priorities. It is true that we are now in the age of international cooperation and dialogue and an emissary from the PBR is most welcome. I do not take personal slight however from the fact that none is with us yet, it is no-doubt in the pipeline.”
