Rings and Marino back in the big time whilst Greentown Athletic head to non league

The first 12 team Serie B has ended with Rings and Marino both securing a return to the top flight pipping a host of clubs in a very tight race. At the bottom, non-league football awaits the trio of Greentown Athletic, Satans and Griffin.

Rings topped a fine season with a 2-2 draw away to Greentown, a result that condemned the home side to the drop thanks to Stuart Spacers shock 2-0 win at the TDs. The Orbits’ remarkable win saw them leapfrog Greentown to safety.

Marino managed to hang on to the second and final promotion slot in this season’s second division despite a disappointing loss to bottom side Griffin. The club took advantage of the chasing pack’s misfortune as neither Archangel, Claremont or Legoland City could muster the win that would see them overtaken.

Next season’s Serie B shall see 3 teams fight for promotion and 1 team face the drop into the non leagues. Medina AS secured promotion from the non league fending off a challenge from Port Royal and Riverside Club UASL.
