Struggling Inter Police sack head coach Jose Mourinho after another defeat

International Police have fired coach Jose Mourinho following the club’s 2-1 defeat to Legoland United yesterday. The defeat, the Pigs’ second in a week following last Sunday’s loss to Lazio, leaves the club languishing in mid-table 16 points behind the Footballing Celebs who top the Serie A table.

In a statement issued on Monday lunchtime, the Board of Directors of Inter Police expressed their disappointment at having to let go of Mourinho. “Mr Mourinho gave his best to us but in the long-term interest of both the club and Jose we decided that we should part company”.

The Pigs lifted the Legoland Football League title in 2004 and 2005 and under the guidance of former boss Claudio Ranieri they finished inside the top three in the five campaigns. Ironically enough Mr Ranieri’s job is on the line in Legoland City following another slip-up by the champions yesterday.

LFC went down 1-0 to Lion Lakers in Castleland and now find themselves four points behind the leaders Celebs. Ranieri will be aware that as the LFC supporters have begun to call for his head, the LFC Board will likely move against him should he fail to reduce the gap between LFC and the Celebs in the next one of two league games.

Speculation as to who will replace the sacked Mourinho is mounting with bookmakers’ favourite being the aforementioned Ranieri. According to LEGOBet bookmakers, Ranieri will be sacked by next week and will return to former side Inter Police. Mourinho’s arrogance will be too attractive for the LFC Board to refuse and he would be favourite to land any vacant Blue’s post.
