Footballing Celebs march on towards Serie A title with narrow home win over the Pigs

A 17th minute penalty from Mohamed Kallon gave the Legoland Footballing Celebs a hugely important 1-0 victory over Inter Police at the Stadio Delle Alpi today. The Turin club have now not lost since the 12th November 2006 and boast the league’s best defence having conceded just 13 goals all season.

The win, coupled with Legoland FC’s 1-1 draw with Milan, sees the Aristocrats move 6 points clear of Legoland FC and 4 points clear of Juventus, who leap-frogged the Blue’s into second place following a 2-1 victory over Greentown Athletic.

Celebs’ manager Giovanni Trapattoni, speaking after his side’s win, told reporters that he has “no doubt that they will win the title”. He added that “the others are too far behind in terms of squad stability and their results are full of inconsistencies.” Responding to these comments, LFC’s manager Claudio Ranieri said that his side “will never give up hope” and “still expect to win the title”.

In other results, Castleland giants Lion Lakers moved into fourth place after a 3-1 win over Marino whilst Legoland United climbed up to fifth place with victory over Ravenna. Legoland United manager Mr United called Legoland FC an “embarrassment to football” after the result. At the other end of the table, all four teams in the relegation zone managed draws. The results however sees little improvement for any of the sides with fourth-last placed Emperor Eagles 2 points adrift of safety.
