League leaders the Legoland Footballing Celebs fought back to secure a dramatic 3-3 draw with Castleland outfit Robin Rangers today at the Robin Arena. Although Robin Rangers are having a disastrous campaign this season they will be unhappy at not having picked up the precious three points with a win over the Rich Gits.
Robin Rangers coach Radomir Antic said after the game that the result was unfortunate having come so close to a win. Nevertheless, he said that “the positive thing was we scored three times against the league’s best defence”. Indeed before the game, Celebs had only conceded 13 goals in 23 matches. Celebs manager Giovanni Trapattoni was also looking on the bright side however commenting that “most of the chasing pack have also dropped points this weekend and we still retain a four point lead over the next nearest”.
Indeed Juventus slipped one place into third following a 2-2 draw with Marino whilst Legoland United and Roma were held to draws by Ajax Skerries and Robin Ravers respectively. Lion Lakers meanwhile were pummeled 3-0 by a Marcello Salas inspired Emperor Eagles. Of the top six only Legoland FC managed a win, with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Lazio in Rome. The result sees LFC move back into second.
