Juventus to spend big should the club secure a first Serie A title this season

The owner of Serie A football side Juventus, Emperor David, has said he will “splash the cash” should his Turin side land the Serie A title this season. With just six games remaining in the 42-game season, Juventus lie in second place only two points behind their Turin locals, the Celebs.

Juventus have surprised all this season with their good results despite having Jean-Alain Boumsong in the starting line-up for much of the campaign. The 2006/7 season is Juve’s best domestic league run ever and has captivated the club’s fanbase.

The Legoland Emperor’s comments have fueled rumours among the local Turin newspapers that some big stars could be arriving to grace the Stadio Delle Alpi. Players already being linked to the club include Inter Police stars Adrian Ilie and Ronnie O’Brien, and Roma’s Alex Taribello. “Should Juve’s existing players prove themselves, I will invest heavily to guarantee continued domestic success” the dictator added.

The Emperor has owned Juventus football club since 1994 when he purchased it from the Legoland Football Association. On the 27th December 2000 he announced his decision to enter professional football as a player himself and now plays for Juventus in midfield. He has netted 3 times for Juve this season pushing his career total to 11.
