Raul sends Legoland FC to the top as Robin Ravers sink Celebs in Castleland

Legoland FC are celebrating tonight after an dramatic late win at Empoli saw the club go top of the Legoland Football League for the first time since early December 2006.

Raul’s late strike, controversial as Raul appeared to be yards offside, robbed three valuable points for LFC who are now one point ahead of second place Celebs in the Serie A standings. The result saw Empoli stumble into the dreaded relegation zone and has heaped pressure on coach Luigi Cagni.

In Castleland, Robin Ravers continued their revival with a stunning 2-0 win over crisis-hit Celebs.

A penalty from Arturo Di Napoli and header from LFC’s on-loan forward Ariffin earned the points for Ravers and toppled the Aristocrats from first place. It was Robin Ravers’ third consecutive win in a season in which they have won only six games in 28 matches. For Celebs the loss followed on from last weekend’s defeat to Emperor Eagles and sparked coach Giovanni Trapattoni to lamblast his players in the post-match interview. “They are playing like sheep with no leader” he fumed.

Meanwhile, third place Legoland United’s recent winning run was halted by Parma. The 2-2 draw saw Robert Pires and Christy net for the Reds while Antonio Bocchetti and Filippo Savi scored for the men from Parma. Savi’s magnificent form this season has seen the midfielder score eight times and the player is reportedly now being courted by a number of top sides, among them Legoland United.

In the day’s other results affecting the top-half of the table, the Emperor’s Juventus remain in fourth place after a 3-0 win in Foggia, Lion Lakers move into fifth place after hammering Ravenna 5-0 and Roma fall to seventh after defeat to Ajax Skerries.

At the bottom of the table the signs are looking ominous for AC Milan who remain bottom after yet another draw, this time with Emperor Eagles. Lazio drop a place to second-last after Lars-Gunnar Carlstrand’s goal gave a 2-1 victory defeat to Republic in Rome.
