Fans of Legoland FC are celebrating today after their side landed Serie E minnows in the LFA Cup Quarter Finals draw. LFC will face Liam Brady managed Cante Athletic in April and a victory will see them progress to the cup Semi Finals.
Speaking after the draw, LFC manager Claudio Ranieri said he was “very happy with the draw” although he added that playing in the hostile and partisan Cante Arena would “not be easy”. Liam Brady meanwhile said he was looking forward to claim a “famous scalp”. Cante Athletic have been very lucky in the cup draws this season, having avoided all Serie A sides to date.
Elsewhere, Third Division UASL will be hoping to overcome Cruisers, Port Villa will be hopeful of not slipping up against Mayans as Lazio did in the last round, and in the all-Serie A clash, Inter Police and Sampdoria go head-to-head.
The Quarter Finals will be played on the 4th April 2007.
