LFA Cup forth round draw kind to top sides with major clubs avoiding one another

The LFA Cup fourth round draw was made today with the top clubs all avoiding each other in what appear to be straight-forward games for the big guns. Holders Lazio have been drawn against third division side Mayans, who defeated Greentown Athletic in a shock 2-1 in the third round. Lazio would however seem a step too far for Mayans and the Roman club are expected to brush them aside with relative ease.

Elsewhere Legoland FC have drawn the easiest of fixtures with a match against non-leaguers La Citta di Roma. Fans of the Blues will be looking for an easy stroll into the LFA Cup quarter finals.

Other Serie A sides with lower division opposition are Sampdoria who meet Serie B side Fisheries Union and Port Villa who face Serie B side Viafort. The meeting of the Pirates and Viafort is a strange one as Viafort are a satellite feeder club owned by Port Villa.

The biggest game of the round is the all-Serie A clash of Republic and Inter Police. Inter Police will however be favourites to progress.

Round 4 is scheduled for 31st January 2007.
