PBR media reports annexation of territory south of the Lego Republic

The Foreign Office has expressed concern this morning after PBR media reported a successful military “invasion” of baseplates has been carried out by the PBR “south of the Lego Republic and west of the Federation of Legopolis” resulting in the establishment of “East PBR”.

Describing the move as “regrettable”, the Foreign Office called on the PBR state to relinquish territories captured and “refrain from further acts of aggression and expansion.”

The Minifig Times has confirmation that the PBR’s emissary to the Empire, Troy Allen, has been summoned to explain his country’s actions to the Emperor in person.

News from Williams City reported a government spokesfig as saying the invasion force was amassed only after an agreement with the terror group Cobra was reached. The agreement enabled the PBR House of Senate to transfer soldiers from defensive positions to offensive operations.

“We have come to an agreement with Cobra, all sanctions have been lifted, [Cobra] will also be allowed to establish a consulate building in PBR to continue diplomatic talks with us. Tensions have risen following the conquest with a number of states understood to be preparing formal protestations at the move. Political commentator with RTL, Peter Tarpey, expressed a view that the PBR’s actions have placed countries in the region on edge.

“If [the PBR] can seize territory in the blink of an eye, pushing its borders ever closer to other states, it is unsurprising that other countries will be concerned. As for Legoland, although the lands seized by the PBR remain many studs away from the Empire’s Western provinces, it is significantly closer to the Southern Attican states of Technicstan and Dactastan, countries Davidium consider lie in its sphere of influence.”

PBR forces are also involved in combat operations in the war-torn Ancarta island since late last year. The PBR military, apparently eager to war harden its troops and test new arsenal, offered its services to the Federation of Legopolis, an offer which was duly accepted. Both countries have since been accused of committing horrific war crimes against the territory’s native inhabitants, including figocide.
