Established in 1993 Castleland United are amongst the oldest club sides in the Empire. The team were however lost to history and all but forgotten until their previous existence was rediscovered in 1996, following the discovery of an old newspaper report. Along with Republic, who had a parallel experience, the team is known as one of ‘The Forgotten’.
The Shields’ claim to fame is their most impressive exploits in the Derby Cup, the oldest cup competition in Legoland. The Castleland side has landed an unequaled 6 Derby Cup titles, and amazingly, picked up 5 of them in consecutive seasons (between 2004 and 2008).
Somewhat fittingly perhaps, the franchise are owned by Prestig Royalus, CEO of the Castle Clan newspaper group.
